RED SOX WEEKEND!!!

I know that many of you have been waiting to hear about and see pictures from our weekend. We had soooo much fun! We started off the weekend on friday afternoon by dropping our dog off at the dogsitter! ha ha, aka Steve Penner a guy on Charlie's crew. He has two dogs and offered to watch her for the weekend. We then headed to Dallas and checked into our hotel. Charlie wanted to head straight to the ball park so that we could watch batting practice. So thats what we did, it was a lot of fun. We got to watch them warm up, and watch a few of them bat, including Ortiz! As Charlie said 'it just sounds different coming off his bat'. We then watched the game that night and they won 7-1! It was great! The next day we had some time to kill since the game didn't start until 7pm. So we headed into Dallas and went shopping at the Galleria. That place is huge! If you like to shop I'm sure they have a store for you! After eatting lunch we still had a few hours to kill so Charlie wanted to go to The Texas Motor Speedway. When we got there we signed up to take a tour. I wasn't real excited about this. I'm not a big fan of hillbilly racin' but Charlie is and he took the ghost tour of the Stanley Hotel for me. But after all the tour was pretty interesting. We got in a big 18 passenger van (or as my mom called it 'the Mormon van' ha ha) and he drove us around and showed us everything. We got to see a lot of really neat stuff. But we were told that we weren't going to be able to go out on the track because there was practice going on. But when we got to the track he called up to see if the track was clear and it was! Charlie's face was so cute, he was so super excited. At first he drove up one corner so that we could get a feel for the banking in the turns. The banking was 24 degree and that doesn't sound like a lot, but I thought our Mormon van was a little too top heavy to be tilting like that. He then drove us around one lap, and he got going 90 MPH! I was a little freaked out, but Charlie didn't stop smiling the whole time. Check out the pictures! After this the tour guide calmly says, 'well since we won lets go check out victory lane.' That night we headed to the game. The game was hard to watch, they were having a bad night. We rallied all the way until the end of the game, but they lost 15-8. We were bummed but it was still great to be there. Sunday the had a day game. So we went to breakfast and then headed to the game. The only bad part about this game was that our seats were right in the sun and I forgot sunscreen so we are both a little crispy. Even though we spent a tone of money for this one weekend, Charlie has been waiting for as long as he could remember to see them play in person. So that and seeing his face made all of it so worth it. We had a blast and I hope that we get to see them again.
